Roberto Lovato and Linda Chavez on politics two weeks before the election. – PBS’ Bill Moyers Journal – (a must watch video with 2 smart Latinos, imho)

‘Latinos ‘08′: A Split Ticket PBS Documentary challenges a premise of such efforts — the assumption that the Latino vote is a monolithic bloc that can be appealed to and delivered as one. The film commits an even more refreshing heresy: It questions whether the Latino vote really is as critical as everyone says it is.

With the presidential election a month away, a new PBS documentary “Latinos ‘08,” examines how supporters of Barack Obama and John McCain are trying to mobilize Latinos, a group seen as less cohesive than other ethnic voter blocs, according to a statement issued by the producers.

Did You Know? At the San Ysidro Port of Entry – between Tijuana and San Diego – over 100,000 people cross every day. It’s the busiest land border crossing in the world. The sheer volume of traffic makes it impossible for U.S. border guards to check every vehicle and every document. If they did, the border would shut down.
