"mun2, the preeminent voice for bicultural Latinos in America, announced today online and on-air components for its multi-platform voter registration campaign, "VOTE 4 UR Future." Focused on empowering its Latino audience, aged 18-34, to register, and go out to vote in the upcoming presidential elections, the network's dual screen initiatives drive viewers to holamun2.com/vote for easy online registration tools, election-related stories and original content. The media-driven efforts are part of parent network Telemundo's national non-partisan Hispanic voter registration campaign, "Vota Por Tu Futuro."

"Through this joint company-wide effort, Telemundo and mun2 are able to provide our audiences with the information and resources they need to become a vital part of the political process," said Jacqueline Hernández, Chief Operating Officer, Telemundo Networks. "By featuring celebrity voices and informative content, we hope to continue to empower and mobilize this important demographic to the voting polls during these upcoming presidential elections."

A Census Bureau report released earlier this year shows that 5.6 million Latinos voted in the 2006 general election, an increase of 18 percent over 2002. This number is projected to grow by one million for the November elections. Of the 18.2 million eligible Latino voters, 50 percent are under the age of 40, comprising approximately 7 million Latino voters aged 18-29. Targeting 18-34 year-old Latinos in the US, mun2 recognizes its crucial role in promoting youth political engagement in the upcoming elections and is taking action through the company-wide initiative.

"Being a leading network in the bilingual space, we are aware of the significant impact young Latinos have in the upcoming presidential elections," added Alex Pels, General Manager of mun2. "Through our thoughtful, youth-driven electoral coverage, and our innovative PSA's, we hope to empower this demographic, mobilize them to register to vote, and help make their voices heard by voting."

In support of the campaign, mun2 and Telemundo have partnered with political advocacy organizations Rock the Vote, US Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI), and League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC).

The network will run a series of PSAs which will feature top Latino celebrities that resonate with its audience including Jessica Alba, Daddy Yankee, Paul Rodriguez Jr and Dania Ramirez. mun2 Creative Director of On Air Promos and acclaimed filmmaker Ricardo de Montreuil joins the voter collaborative effort by directing the call-to-action spots. The spots, which encourage viewers to vote, begin airing September 5th.

On Saturday September 20th at 6pm ET/PT, mun2 will debut the one-hour election news special "VOTE 4 UR Future 2008" where mun2 hosts Yarel Ramos and Renato Lopez bring thoughtful coverage of the current, pressing issues relevant to Latinos including immigration, education, the war, and the environment. "VOTE 4 UR Future 2008" which will also feature on-site coverage from the Democratic and Republican conventions, will direct viewers to holamun2.com/vote for access to voter registration.

Mun2's award-winning website holamun2.com brings a series of innovative vignettes that reflect the lifestyle and attitude of Latinos. Acting as a voter outreach resource and offering a blend of humorous and edgy content, the vignettes address the feeling of powerlessness and the need for today's growing Latino demographic to play a decisive and proactive role in the electoral process. holamun2.com/vote also provides a forum for visitors to discuss the voter registration campaign and share opinions and information regarding various election-oriented topics. The vignettes will be available for viewing on holamun2.com/vote starting September 8th.

The network will also incorporate calls to action and in-show voter registration mentions throughout its on-air programming.
For more information and clips on mun2's "VOTE 4 UR Future" campaign, visit holamun2.com/vote.

"CaribeVision Television Networks officially announced at a press conference held at the Bankers Club in Hato Rey the arrival at the network of journalist Ruben Sanchez and the premiere of his new TV show, 'Ruben Sanchez Directo,' (Ruben Sanchez Live) which will be broadcast starting on Monday, September 8 in prime time at 7 p.m. on Channel 24 in Puerto Rico, at 11 p.m. on Channel 34 in New York, and at midnight on Channel 48 in Miami, Florida.
'Ruben Sanchez Directo' will be the first program produced entirely in Puerto Rico by LatinUno and CaribeVision, broadcast from Puerto Rico to New York and Miami.
"This premiere marks the beginning of a professional relationship between CaribeVision, LatinUno and Ruben Sanchez which will include daily broadcasts of the program and the production of a number of specials timed to coincide with the election season. We are aware that CaribeVision has put its best foot forward with the television audience and 'Ruben Sanchez Directo' will strengthen our commitment on the island," said Mayda Nazario, General Manager of CaribeVision Puerto Rico.
"'Ruben Sanchez Directo' provides a number of businesses with the opportunity to reach a wide diversity of TV viewers with many different points of view. The distinctive stamp and prestige of Ruben Sanchez offer the assurance of achieving a resounding success with the U.S. Hispanic market. The track record of this journalist places him on a level with the highest rated shows of the genre. We offer this opportunity to new clients as well as to those who have been with Ruben to continue supporting this famous reporter," said Emilio Nicolas, President and CEO of Advertising for CaribeVision Television Networks.
LatinUno President Agustin Rosario commented, "it is a pleasure to embark on this new project with CaribeVision, which will be a product representative of CaribeVision in Puerto Rico. Ruben Sanchez's program is a show of quality both for the local Latino market as well as for the Latino market in the United States, and now with this new partnership we will continue to reap every success."
Xose Manuel Barreira, Director of Programming for CaribeVision Network had this to say: "We offer a warm welcome to Ruben, Agustin and his whole crew, with total confidence that with 'Ruben Sanchez Directo,' we are strengthening our programming and commitment to both the local and the international viewing audiences. To offer the public interesting programs with all the credibility that Ruben has to offer gives us more of an opportunity to reach households with varied, high quality programming that will set standards in the U.S. market."
'Ruben Sanchez Directo' will maintain its original formula of newsworthy interviews of substance and impact; his inquisitive style sets the standard and the serious tone for each program. In this new phase the show will have the collaboration of Mayra Lopez Mulero; Dr. Wanda Smith; psychic, Vivian Carla; community leader, Papo Christian; consumer advocate, Dr. Shopper; anthropologist, Andrew Alvarez; motivator, Lily Garcia; political analyst, Adolfo Kranz; political panelists Roberto Prats, Alfredo Castellanos, Juan Dalmau and Nelson Rosario, along with celebrity reporters to round off the content of each show.
"I'm delighted to return to television after a brief absence, and now I'm coming to a new home with all kinds of plans... but with the same formula and impact as always," said Ruben Sanchez in closing.
The show will be broadcast in Puerto Rico over WJPX -- Channel 24 (San Juan), WIRS -- Channel 42 (Arecibo), WKPV -- Channel 20 (Ponce), WJWN -- Channel 38 (Mayaguez), Choice Cable -- Channel 6, Liberty Cable -- Channel 24, One Link -- Channel 24; in Miami by WFUN -- Channel 48; and in New York by WPXO -- Channel 34.
'Ruben Sanchez Directo' will be broadcast daily from the stage of the Ambassador Theater in Santurce. The theatre has been fitted out with scenery and fixtures as a television studio, and it is from there that the daily broadcast will be made, maintaining the same quality of guests and staff as ever.
"We want our audience to experience and understand the process that goes into the making of a President so that they can be educated voters. I am proud to say that HITN is the only network that has provided comprehensive coverage of both political conventions for two consecutive weeks," he added.

"Univision Communications Inc., the leading Spanish-language media company and one of the top five networks in the U.S. regardless of language, has selected the MediaOcean sales system to manage its national sales and to transact business electronically.
Rapid Rollout
Univision started its rollout of MediaOcean in its national sales office in Atlanta in September 2007, with national sales offices in Dallas, New York, Chicago, Detroit and San Antonio migrating within four months. The remaining Univision offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami were up and running on MediaOcean by February 2008.
Univision is the latest company to join DDS MediaOcean's growing list of clients, which includes ABC, CBS, Fox Sports Network (NAP), Fox Station Sales, Gannett, Katz Media, Meredith, NBC, PMC, Post-Newsweek and Telemundo.
Improves Relationship with Buyers
"Having at least one of our Spanish-language media vendors on MediaOcean has enabled us to streamline our business. It gives us better quality control in terms of placing, revising and/or canceling buys with Univision/Telefutura stations," says Sherri Franklin, director, SpotPlus y Mas, the Hispanic division at SpotPlus.
Eliminates Discrepancies and Reduces Costs
MediaOcean integrates with DDS media-buying systems, the most widely used in the industry. The all-electronic workflow makes it easier for buyers to purchase spots on local stations and for buyers and sellers to process and track orders, revisions and makegoods. It benefits all trading partners by eliminating discrepancies and saving time on tedious, labor-intensive tasks such as manually re-keying faxed orders and revisions, thereby reducing transaction costs.
Powerful Protocol
With its migration to MediaOcean, Univision is adopting DARE, the only eBusiness system that achieves roundtrip communication between spot television buyers and sellers for every business transaction. DARE is the choice of leading agencies. Univision is the first Spanish-language broadcaster to take advantage of DARE's efficient electronic communication between trading partners.
MediaOcean is the most advanced implementation of the DARE standard. It provides a full audit of every transaction and allows salespeople to easily manage orders and offers as they flow between systems.
About DDS MediaOcean
DDS MediaOcean provides eBusiness solutions for media sales. It brings efficiencies to national and local television sales organizations, independent television rep firms and independent radio rep firms. DDS MediaOcean's clients are part of a 45,000-strong community, supported by an operations center providing around-the-clock processing and system monitoring.
